Prohibits any person from knowingly owning or possessing a pistol with a part or combination of parts designed or intended to convert it into a machine gun.

Defines "machine gun" according to 26 U.S.C. § 5845.

Violations are classified as Class C felonies.

Exempts state or local law enforcement officers acting in official capacity and persons with firearms registered in the National Firearms Registration and Transfer Record maintained by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives.

Exempts parts or devices that increase rate of fire but do not enable a semiautomatic pistol to fire more than one shot without manual reloading by a single trigger function.

Becomes effective October 1, 2024.
