Increases DeKalb County Coroner's monthly expense allowance from $600 to $2,000, effective June 1, 2024.

Adds a new expense allowance section for DeKalb County Sheriff commencing June 1, 2024, providing $12,000 per year in additional expense allowance payable in equal monthly installments from the county general fund.

Upon expiration of the incumbent sheriff's term, replaces the $12,000 annual expense allowance with a $12,000 per year salary increase, at which time the expense allowance provision becomes null and void.

Maintains existing expense allowances for the sheriff established in 1993 ($15,000 per annum) and 2003 ($5,000-$15,000 per annum based on years of service).

Act becomes effective June 1, 2024.
