Wilcox County Sheriff receives an additional expense allowance of $30,000 per annum beginning October 1, 2024, paid in equal monthly installments from the county general fund.

Upon expiration of the incumbent sheriff's term, the annual salary increases by $30,000 per annum in place of the expense allowance, paid in equal monthly installments from the county general fund.

The expense allowance in subsection (a) becomes void once the salary increase takes effect with the next sheriff.

Act becomes effective October 1, 2024.
