Authorizes Calhoun County Commission and municipal governing bodies to regulate halfway houses, substance abuse rehabilitation facilities, sober living facilities, and similar facilities housing court-ordered or supervised residents by resolution.

Permits regulations including permit requirements, size limitations, location requirements with minimum distance specifications, and limits on tenants per room.

Allows civil penalties up to $1,000 per day per resident for violations, with required notice and hearing before penalties are assessed.

Requires all facilities to prohibit registered sex offenders from residing in any facility housing residents enrolled by court order or supervised by Calhoun County Community Punishment and Corrections Authority, Inc.

Enforcement occurs through civil action against facility owners in the Circuit Court of Calhoun County; act becomes effective June 1, 2024 and is repealed June 1, 2025.
