Increases the Marengo County coroner's monthly expense allowance from $400 to $1,000, effective October 1, 2024.

Authorizes the Marengo County Commission to allow the coroner to appoint a deputy coroner, with expense and mileage allowances to be set by the county commission.

Maintains the mileage allowance for the coroner at $0.22 per mile, with the same rate applying to the deputy coroner.

Permits the county commission to increase both expense and mileage allowances for the coroner and deputy coroner beginning October 1, 2025, and annually thereafter at the start of each fiscal year.

Provides that accepted expense and mileage allowances under this law waive any other expense or mileage allowances provided by state law.
