Applies only to Marengo County and authorizes the sheriff to contract with private, public, or governmental entities for service of process, except for arrest warrants.

Establishes service of process fees of $50 for documents requiring personal service within the county and within the state outside the county, and $75 for documents requiring service outside the state.

Court officials must collect the service of process fees and remit them to the sheriff for deposit into the Sheriff's Law Enforcement Fund.

Allows judges to waive fees upon finding that payment would create substantial hardship, with a verified statement required from the individual requesting service.

Specifies that fees collected cannot diminish or replace other sources of income for the sheriff or jail operations, and the act becomes effective October 1, 2024.
