Reduces the deadline for political parties to certify candidates from 82 days to 74 days before a general election to accommodate national political party conventions scheduled after current filing deadlines.

Changes the filing deadline for certificates of nomination for presidential candidates from the 82nd day before the election to 74 days before the election date.

Adjusts related deadlines for candidate notifications, amendments to certifications, and Secretary of State certifications to conform with the new 74-day timeline.

Applies to the November 5, 2024 general election, where the Democratic National Committee convention is scheduled after the August 15, 2024 filing deadline.

Becomes effective immediately upon enactment.
