Amends Section 26-10C-1, Code of Alabama 1975, to reclassify certain putative father registry information as public records subject to public records requests under Article 3 of Chapter 12, Title 36.

Makes the following registry information accessible as public records: putative father's name, date of birth, and current address; biological mother's name and date of birth; and child's name and place of birth, if known, excluding Social Security numbers.

Maintains confidentiality of other registry information except as provided in court orders or by existing disclosure provisions to courts in adoption proceedings.

Replaces terminology throughout the statute, changing "person" to "individual" and "regulations" to "rules," and makes other technical, nonsubstantive revisions to update code language.

Becomes effective October 1, 2024.
