• Requires each county commission to submit a procedure to the Permanent Legislative Committee on Reapportionment by January 1, 2025, detailing how voting precinct boundaries will be redrawn.

• Mandates that voting precinct boundaries be drawn so that voter population deviation across precincts does not exceed five percentage points plus or minus from the average number of voters per precinct.

• Requires county commissions to adjust voting precinct boundaries no later than two years after the Legislature adopts redistricting maps following each federal decennial census.

• Requires all county commissions to redraw voting precinct boundaries by July 1, 2025, based on redistricting maps adopted following the 2020 federal census and submit updated maps and legal descriptions to the Permanent Legislative Committee on Reapportionment.

• Takes effect October 1, 2024.
