Expands Alabama abortion law to permit abortion necessary to preserve the life of an unborn child's mother, in addition to the existing exception for serious health risks.

Requires the biological father to pay all medical expenses associated with the pregnancy and abortion if an abortion is performed to preserve the mother's health, unless the mother waives this requirement by submitting a waiver to district court.

Allows the father to petition district court for relief from payment obligations if he agrees to undergo a vasectomy and provides documentation of the procedure.

Permits the father to dispute paternity through district court proceedings, and requires the court to rule on paternity disputes within 48 hours of filing.

Takes effect October 1, 2024.
