Increases maximum monthly compensation for local board of education members from $600 to $900 per month, effective October 1, 2024.

Requires compensation to be placed in escrow if board members fail to comply with continuing education and training requirements developed by the State Superintendent of Education pursuant to Section 16-1-41.1.

Escrowed compensation reverts to the local board of education if a member vacates, resigns, or otherwise leaves office while funds remain in escrow.

Repeals Section 16-8-5 of the Code of Alabama 1975 relating to county board of education member compensation.
