Municipal judge or magistrate of the City of Lake View in Tuscaloosa County may assess defendants a warrant recall fee to recall failure to appear or failure to comply warrants issued for municipal ordinance violations or other offenses.

Warrant recall fee shall not exceed $100 and must be paid by the defendant at the time the warrant is recalled.

Warrant recall is discretionary and the city is not required to recall any warrant that has been issued.

All warrant recall fees collected by the City of Lake View Municipal Court shall be deposited into the City of Lake View Corrections Fund and allocated in conformity with Section 11-47-7.1 of the Code of Alabama 1975.

The act becomes effective on October 1, 2024.
