Commends the Good Hope High School Lady Raiders varsity basketball team on winning the 2024 Alabama High School Athletic Association (AHSAA) Class 4A Girls Basketball State Championship, the first state title in program history.

Championship game was played on March 4, 2024, at BJCC Legacy Arena with a 63-35 victory over T.R. Miller; team shot 43.6 percent overall and 10-of-13 at the foul line while holding opponent to 31.3 percent from the field.

Bailey Tetro earned Most Valuable Player honors with 17 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists, and 7 steals; Ivey Maddox led the team with 20 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 steals; Vas McSwain had 12 points.

Bailey Tetro, Ava McSwain, and Ivey Maddox were named to the Class 4A Girls All-Tournament Team; Head Coach Justin Aby and assistant coaches Nina Moss and Beth Taylor are recognized for leadership.

House passed the resolution on April 11, 2024; Senate adopted it on April 25, 2024.
