Posthumously commends Dr. Cynthia Sellers-Simon for her exceptional service to Tuskegee University as a higher education administrator.

Dr. Sellers-Simon earned a Bachelor of Science in Social Studies Education from Tuskegee University, a Master of Education in Student Personnel Services and Counseling from Tuskegee University, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Higher Education Administration from Georgia State University, with postdoctoral work at Harvard University.

Served as Vice President of Student Affairs at Fort Valley State, Tuskegee, and Allen Universities, and as Assistant to the President at Hampton and Fort Valley State Universities, while also teaching graduate and undergraduate courses.

Participated in professional development programs globally in Senegal, Ghana, Kenya, Tanzania, South Africa, Brazil, and England, and was active in the NAACP, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, and The Links, Incorporated.

Was a member of Tuskegee University's Class of 1974 and served as class agent with Representative Pebblin Walker Warren until her death; survived by husband Patric Simon, two daughters, one granddaughter, four grandsons, and one brother.
