Commends Dr. Charlotte P. Morris, Ninth President of Tuskegee University, for her nearly 40 years of service in various capacities at the institution.

Recognizes her leadership in developing a five-year strategic plan and overseeing a significant increase in research grants, including funding for health disparities research affecting African Americans and cancer research in the Black community.

Acknowledges her educational credentials including a Bachelor's Degree from Jackson State University, Master's Degree from Delta State University, and PhD from Kansas State University, plus additional coursework at Harvard and other institutions.

Details her career progression from faculty member at the Andrew F. Brimmer College of Business and Information Science to Executive Associate/Chief of Staff for 23 years, interim dean, and President beginning August 1, 2021.

The Alabama Legislature honors and commends Dr. Morris on the occasion of her retirement from Tuskegee University with appreciation for her dedication and exceptional abilities.
