Alabama Legislature shall recess on Tuesday, February 6, 2024, and reconvene in joint session at 6:00 p.m. on the same day in the House of Representatives Chamber at the Alabama State Capitol, 600 Dexter Avenue.

Joint session is held for the purpose of hearing the message of Governor Kay Ivey.

A committee of three senators, named by the Presiding Officer of the Senate, and three representatives, named by the Speaker of the House, shall be appointed.

Committee members shall wait upon the Governor and advise her regarding receipt of her message and serve as an escort committee to bring the Governor to the House for the joint session.
