Pohl won the championship on February 17, 2024, with a pin victory over Corner High School senior Jacob Blanchard

This was Pohl's fourth appearance at the State Tournament; he previously placed 3rd as an 8th grader and 2nd as a freshman

Pohl was coached by Josh Nickelson, Clifford Pate, and Ethan Hendrickson, who helped him broaden his knowledge and refine his skills
