Proclaims April as National Donate Life Month in Alabama to encourage organ, eye, and tissue donation.

Notes that more than 100,000 Americans, including 1,200 Alabamians, are currently on the national transplant waiting list, with one person added every nine minutes and 17 people dying daily while waiting.

Encourages Alabama residents to register as organ, eye, and tissue donors at legacyofhope.org or their local department of motor vehicles, stating one donor can save and heal more than 75 lives.

Honors the compassion of registered donors, donor families, living donors, and recognizes medical professionals and researchers who work to save lives through donation and transplantation.
