Commends Hoover High School girls and boys indoor track teams for winning the 2024 Alabama High School Athletic Association Class 7A State Championships at the CrossPlex Athletic Facility in Birmingham.

Hoover boys amassed 133.5 points to win the Class 7A title for the 13th time in school history; Hoover girls scored 90 points to win their 11th state indoor title, marking the seventh time both teams swept the indoor championships in the same year.

Girls 4x400 relay team (Grier Jones, McKenzie Blackledge, Daisy Luna, Taylor Canada) set a state record time of 3:53.64 and a new CrossPlex record; notable individual performances include Daisy Luna's 55.81 in the 400-meter dash and Taylor Canada's 7.67 seconds in the 60-meter hurdles.

Boys team achievements include senior Collin Pate clearing 16 feet 2 inches in pole vault, senior Bradley Shaw winning shot put with a throw of 51-04, and senior Dallas Beck winning the 400-meter dash with a time of 48.64.
