Recognizes February 7, 2024, as National Black HIV and AIDS Awareness Day in the State of Alabama.

Notes that National Black HIV and AIDS Awareness Day has been observed nationally every February 7th since 1999 to increase awareness in Black communities.

Cites 2019 data showing Black and African Americans accounted for 41 percent of approximately 34,800 HIV infections in the United States and dependent areas, despite representing only 12 percent of the U.S. population.

Encourages Alabama citizens to engage in HIV/AIDS prevention discussions, educate on HIV/AIDS among Black youth and adults, and empower individuals by highlighting success stories related to HIV and AIDS treatment.
