Posthumously commends United States Army Private First Class Noah C. Reeves for his service, dedication, and sacrifice to his community, Alabama, and the nation.

Reeves was killed in action on December 6, 1944, near Vossenack, Germany during the Hürtgen Forest battle at age 26; his remains were not recovered and he was declared "non-recoverable" in 1951.

Unidentified remains discovered in 1948 in the Kall Gorge were interred at Ardennes American Cemetery; in 2021 a DPAA historian determined they could belong to Reeves, and in 2022 scientists positively identified them using anthropological analysis and DNA testing.

Reeves was a Lawrence County resident who registered for the draft at age 25 and served after being stationed at Fort McClellan, Alabama and Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri before deployment to Germany.

Directs that a copy of this resolution be delivered to the Reeves family as recognition of his ultimate sacrifice.
