Commends Missy Odom of Jasper High School for being named the 2024 Alabama Class 5A Player of the Year by the Alabama Sports Writers Association on April 16, 2024.

Recognizes that Odom, a sophomore, averaged 18.4 points, 7.3 rebounds, 2.1 steals, 2.4 blocks, and 1.5 assists per game during the season.

Acknowledges Odom's contribution to the Jasper Lady Vikings' first-ever state basketball championship in school history with a 31-4 season record, defeating Scottsboro High School 48-44 in the championship game in March 2024.

Notes that Odom was nominated alongside teammate Mia Hollingsworth and that both were instrumental in guiding the team to the state championship.

Extends the House of Representatives' highest commendation to Odom in recognition of her exceptional achievement and dedication to excellence.
