Recognizes May 27, 2024, as Memorial Day in Alabama to honor those who died in military service to the United States.

Acknowledges approximately 400,000 veterans currently residing in Alabama, including 16 veterans serving in the Alabama House of Representatives.

Honors military service members from the Revolutionary War through the Middle East conflicts, including those from World Wars I and II, Korea, and Vietnam.

Requests all Alabama residents participate in the National Moment of Remembrance at 3:00 p.m. on Memorial Day with a moment of silence.

Marks 2024 as the 156th Anniversary of the Nation's first Memorial Day, held in 1868.
