Mrs. Ethel T. Leslie, a native of Thomasville, Alabama, passed away on February 1, 2024, leaving a void in her family, friends, and community.

She earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Alabama State University in 1961 and advanced degrees from the University of West Alabama, including a Master's in Education and an Administration in Supervision degree.

Mrs. Leslie served 49 years and 11 months in education, working as an elementary teacher and assistant principal at Coffeeville Elementary School (1961-1995), administrator at Coffeeville High School (1996-2000), and Clarke County Textbook Coordinator (2001-2010).

She actively contributed to her community through various roles including cheerleader sponsor, majorette sponsor, Girls Basketball Coach, Drama Club Sponsor, and participation in the Annenberg Foundation Rural School Project for the University of Alabama.

The House of Representatives records her death with deep sadness while celebrating her life and legacy, and extends heartfelt sympathy to her surviving children, grandchildren, siblings, and other family members and friends.
