Celebrates Dr. Tracey Morant Adams, Regional Director, and designates Tuesday, February 27, 2024, as Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Day at the Alabama Capitol.

Recognizes Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority as the first intercollegiate historically African American sorority, founded January 15, 1908, at Howard University with over 350,000 members in 1,024 chapters.

Honors Omicron Omega Chapter, chartered October 24, 1924, in Birmingham as the 15th chapter and first graduate chapter in the Southeastern Region, with current membership of 385.

Acknowledges the chapter's philanthropic contributions totaling over $1.5 million to organizations including the United Negro College Fund, NAACP, and Miles College, plus over $500,000 in college scholarships to Birmingham-area students.

Recognizes the 2001 establishment of the Cultural and Educational Advancement Foundation and the 2022 opening of The Pearl Center, a $1.6 million facility in Bush Hills designed for charitable community endeavors.
