Spelman College Glee Club is celebrating its 100th anniversary of choral excellence in 2024.

The Glee Club will perform in Huntsville on Saturday, March 9, 2024, at Church Street Cumberland Presbyterian Church as the first stop of their 2024 Spring Concert Tour.

The Huntsville performance is sponsored by the Huntsville Area Chapter of the National Alumnae Association of Spelman College (HAC-NAASC) and serves as a fundraiser for the Dr. Bessie Washington Jones Memorial Scholarship Fund.

The Glee Club has performed at prestigious venues including the White House and National Museum of American History, traveled internationally to Canada, Brazil, and Rome, and performed with renowned artists including Aretha Franklin and the Mormon Tabernacle Choir.

The Alabama House of Representatives honors and congratulates the Spelman College Glee Club on its 100th anniversary and its outstanding contribution to the preservation of choral excellence.
