Commends Belle Casey, a junior at Oak Mountain High School and Miss Historic Springville's Teen and Miss Shelby County's Outstanding Teen 2023, for her dedication to raising awareness and support for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).

Recognizes that Casey has raised over $5,000 over the past three years through participating in the Walk to Defeat ALS, hosting Twirl Away ALS Baton Camps, and partnering with the Birmingham Squadron Basketball Team for ALS Association Alabama Chapter donations.

Notes that Casey's cousin has battled ALS for over 10 years and inspired her platform to advocate for research and better treatments for the disease.

Acknowledges Casey's goal to promote the Twirl Away ALS baton camp she started in 2021 at the state and national level to raise funds for ALS research and inspire volunteerism.
