Commends Mr. Lee Brownell, a physical and space science teacher at Russellville Middle School, for being named the Dr. Wernher von Braun Aerospace Teacher of the Year by the Huntsville Chapter of the National Space Club

Recognizes Mr. Brownell was selected from a dozen teachers and will receive a $500 award for classroom materials and attend the Wernher von Braun Memorial Dinner

Notes Mr. Brownell holds a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from the University of North Alabama and Master's Degrees in Middle School Education and Counseling from LaGrange College, plus an Education Specialist Degree from Columbia State University

Highlights his 18-year career at Russellville Middle School using humor, laboratory work, and connections to space exploration applications like microwave ovens, Velcro, and Tang to inspire student learning
