Expands educational benefits for eligible dependents of deceased or disabled veterans to include post-bachelor and graduate studies in medical fields, in addition to existing undergraduate coverage.

Applies to dependents of veterans who are deceased, disabled, listed as missing in action, or were prisoners of war while serving in the U.S. Armed Forces.

Benefits include tuition reimbursement limited to in-state tuition rates, with additional reimbursement for books and fees capped at $1,000 per semester for those filing after July 31, 2017.

Extends the application deadline for dependents with veterans rated 20-40 percent disabled from July 31, 2023 to July 31, 2025.

Becomes effective January 1, 2025.
