Prohibits adult and juvenile sex offenders from being employed or volunteering as first responders, defined as paramedics, firefighters, rescue squad members, emergency medical technicians, or similar emergency responders.

Amends Sections 15-20A-13 and 15-20A-31 of the Alabama Code to add first responder restrictions to existing prohibitions on sex offender employment near schools, childcare facilities, and businesses serving children.

Makes violation of the first responder restriction a Class C felony for both adult and juvenile sex offenders.

Becomes effective October 1, 2024.

Excluded from constitutional local expenditure limitations because the bill defines a new crime or amends the definition of an existing crime.
