State residents may reserve state park campsites and cabins up to one month in advance of nonresidents, with a limit of one advance reservation per household.

Residents receive a 10 percent discount on reservation rates compared to nonresidents for tent, RV, and equestrian camping sites.

Residents must provide valid photo identification verifying their home address to prove state residency when making advance reservations.

The act becomes effective October 1, 2024.
