Proposes a constitutional amendment to remove all real property owned by the University of Mobile from the corporate limits of any municipality where it is located.

Legislature finds the University of Mobile is a statewide university serving students throughout Alabama and other states that needs expanded access to water and sewer services through deannexation.

Amendment takes effect upon ratification and automatically removes and deannexes all University of Mobile property from municipal corporate limits.

Election on the proposed amendment shall be held according to Sections 284, 284.01, and 285 of the Constitution of Alabama of 2022 and state election laws.

Amendment becomes valid upon approval by a majority of qualified electors voting on the measure.
