Renames the Investigation and Intelligence Division of the Department of Corrections to the Law Enforcement Services Division.

Classifies correctional investigative services officers, correctional canine classifications, and their supervisors as state law enforcement officers with full police powers and jurisdiction.

Grants these officers authority to investigate violations involving inmates, employees, and associates of the Department of Corrections and to enforce applicable laws.

Requires officers to display a badge when making arrests and to comply with minimum standards for state law enforcement officers.

Effective date: June 1, 2024.
