Director of the Alabama Film Office shall be appointed by the secretary of the Alabama Department of Commerce rather than the Governor, and shall serve at the secretary's pleasure.

Director's salary shall be established by the secretary of the department and approved by the Governor, with a maximum of $48,000 annually adjusted for cost-of-living increases consistent with state employees.

Definition of "department" changed from Alabama Department of Revenue to Alabama Department of Commerce throughout the film incentive statute.

Department and Commissioner of the Department of Revenue shall adopt rules necessary to administer the film production rebate program.

Act becomes effective June 1, 2024.
