Excludes academic achievement scores of students who transfer from nonpublic schools from being counted in public school grades for the first three years of enrollment, beginning with the 2024-2025 school year.

Educational progress of transfer students continues to be measured in the academic growth category during the three-year exclusion period.

Beginning in the fourth year of enrollment, transfer students' academic achievement will be included in school and school district grades on the state A-F grading system.

Applies similar existing provisions already in place for English language learners, whose achievement is excluded for five years of enrollment.

Becomes effective October 1, 2024.
