AL SB325

Authorizes firearms hold agreements as private transactions between federal firearms licensees or municipal/county law enforcement officers and firearm owners, where the licensee or officer takes physical possession of a lawfully possessed firearm at the owner's request for a specified period.

Provides civil immunity to federal firearms licensees and municipal or county law enforcement officers for any act or omission arising from firearms hold agreements that results in personal injury or death, including the return of the firearm.

Immunity does not apply if the action results from unlawful conduct by the federal firearms licensee or law enforcement officer.

Immunity does not apply to firearm transfers made in violation of prohibited acts in Title 13A or Chapter 27 of Title 41 of the Alabama Code.
