Assesses an additional $50 court cost in all civil cases filed in Choctaw County circuit court, district court, and small claims court.

Assesses an additional $50 court cost in all criminal and quasi-criminal cases brought in Choctaw County circuit court, district court, and municipal court.

Court clerks collect the additional costs and distribute them to Choctaw County for deposit in a special "Jail Fund."

Jail Fund monies are expended exclusively for maintaining, repairing, and operating the county jail and jail complex, and for paying any construction-related indebtedness.

Act becomes effective upon ratification of a local constitutional amendment applicable to Choctaw County authorizing the additional court costs.
