County commissions are not liable for or party to lawsuits challenging expenditures or use of public funds when a local law grants discretion to a single public official.

Damages and litigation costs cannot be recovered from county commission funds in suits challenging public fund expenditures, awards, or uses under the conditions specified.

The act becomes effective on October 1, 2024.
