Alabama set a new export sales record of $27.4 billion in 2023, establishing international trade as one of the state's most powerful economic engines.

Alabama exported goods and services to 190 countries, including vehicles, transportation equipment, aerospace products, agricultural products, chemicals, minerals, iron, steel, machinery, and paper products.

Transportation equipment represents Alabama's top export category at $14.8 billion, with aerospace products and parts increasing 23 percent to $2.1 billion from 2022.

The resolution recognizes the dedication of Alabama's trade and export professionals, including the Alabama Department of Commerce, Department of Agriculture and Industries, Port of Mobile, Export Alabama Alliance, and manufacturing and transportation sectors.

The legislature congratulates those contributing to Alabama's record export performance and encourages continued growth of the state's "Made in Alabama" brand in the global marketplace.
