Commends Barry Dewayne Matson on his retirement from the Alabama Office of Prosecution Services after serving as Executive Director since January 2017.

Recognizes his prior service as Deputy Director of the Alabama Office of Prosecution Services and Alabama District Attorneys Association from January 2006 to December 2016.

Acknowledges his extensive legal career including roles as Chief Deputy District Attorney in the 29th Judicial Circuit (1995-2006), Assistant District Attorney in the 26th Judicial Circuit (1993-1995), and Law Clerk/Librarian (1990-1993).

Highlights his accomplishments including earning a DEA Spartan Award in 2014 for drug enforcement work, serving as Chairman of the Alabama Drug Abuse Task Force, and founding the National Computer Forensic Institute in Hoover, Alabama.

Notes his educational achievements from Birmingham School of Law and Jacksonville State University, along with his family of two children and three grandchildren.
