Commends Mars Hill Bible School's varsity basketball team from Florence, Alabama on winning the 2024 AHSAA Class 2A Boys Basketball Championship.

Mars Hill defeated Highland Home 56-42 on March 1, 2024, at the BJCC Legacy Arena to earn the school's first boys basketball state championship.

Carson Thrasher earned tournament MVP honors with 16 points including 4-of-4 from three-point range; J.O. Owens contributed 10 points and five assists; Eli Pounders had 10 points, six rebounds, and three steals; Sam Sweatt added 10 points, seven rebounds, and four blocked shots.

Carson Thrasher, Cannon Pigg, and Eli Pounders were named to the Class 2A Boys' All-Tournament Team.

Head Coach Jeremy Pounders and Assistant Coaches Ty Rymes, Sam Abernathy, and Steven Cohen are honored for their leadership of a roster consisting of six seniors, eight juniors, and one freshman.
