Extends City Council terms expiring in 2026 by one year to expire in 2027, with successor elections held on the fourth Tuesday in August 2027 and every four years thereafter.

Extends the Mayor's term and City Council terms expiring in 2028 by one year to expire in 2029, with successor elections held on the fourth Tuesday in August 2029 and every four years thereafter.

Extends Scottsboro City Board of Education terms expiring in 2026 by one year to expire in 2027, with successor elections held on the fourth Tuesday in August 2027 and every six years thereafter.

Extends Board of Education terms expiring in 2028 or 2030 by one year to expire in 2029 or 2031 respectively, with elections held on the fourth Tuesday in August 2029 or 2031 and every six years thereafter.

Establishes runoff elections on the fourth Tuesday following the regular election if no candidate for mayor, city council, or board of education receives a majority of votes cast.

Becomes effective June 1, 2025.
