Expands eligibility for firefighter distinctive license plates to include fire chaplains who are members of the Alabama Fellowship of Fire Chaplains.

Requires fire chaplains to provide proof of membership through an affidavit signed by the President of the Alabama Fellowship of Fire Chaplains.

Makes it a Class C misdemeanor for any individual who falsely obtains or falsely certifies someone to obtain a firefighter distinctive license plate.

Maintains existing $1.00 annual fee for firefighter plates, with proceeds distributed equally ($0.50 each) to the Alabama Joint Fire Council for the Alabama Firefighter Memorial and the Firefighter Peer Support Program.

Becomes effective January 1, 2026.
