Amends Section 11-2A-4 of the Code of Alabama 1975 (Omnibus Pay Act) to require that uniform compensation increases granted to county employees be applied equally to local county officials after August 1, 2016.

Establishes that for local officials elected or appointed after July 1, 2025, the initial compensation shall include any uniform increases received by the immediately prior officeholder.

Allows officials to continue receiving uniform compensation increases as provided under subsection (1) of the amended statute.

Permits the Legislature to increase compensation for local officials by local law, but suspends uniform increases under subsection (a) until total compensation under that subsection equals or exceeds the locally-enacted increase.

Becomes effective July 1, 2025.
