Renames the Gulf of Mexico to the "Gulf of America" for all purposes within Alabama, effective October 1, 2025.

Requires all state and local entities and their employees to refer to the body of water as the "Gulf of America" beginning October 1, 2025.

Mandates that newly created maps, documents, educational materials, websites, and official communications reflect the "Gulf of America" terminology.

Requires reasonable efforts to update pre-existing state and local resources to reflect the name change where practicable, with exemptions for entities facing operational or financial burdens.

Permits public K-12 schools and institutions of higher education to use "Gulf of Mexico" in academic instruction when reasonable for historical purposes.
