Amends Section 13A-10-41 of the Code of Alabama 1975 regarding resisting arrest, which occurs when a person intentionally prevents or attempts to prevent a peace officer from making a lawful arrest.

Establishes a mandatory 24-hour temporary holding period for persons convicted of resisting arrest, during which they cannot be released on bail or otherwise.

The 24-hour holding period begins from the time of arrest and must be completed before the person becomes eligible for release.

Maintains the existing classification of resisting arrest as a Class B misdemeanor.

Becomes effective on October 1, 2025.
