Requires each local board of education and nonpublic school governing body to develop and implement cardiac emergency response plans beginning with the 2025-2026 school year.

Mandates schools with athletic departments to create separate cardiac emergency response plans addressing sudden cardiac arrest during athletic activities on school property.

Each cardiac emergency response plan must include staff training in first aid, CPR, and AED use; establishment of a cardiac emergency response team; AED placement per American Heart Association guidelines; and procedures for emergency response drills and annual plan review.

Requires AEDs to be clearly marked and easily accessible at all athletic event spaces (stadiums, fields, gymnasiums, weight rooms) when students or staff are present and at all school-sponsored athletic events and practices.

Requires schools to work with local emergency services providers to integrate cardiac emergency response plans into community emergency medical services protocols; becomes effective October 1, 2025.
