Amends Alabama Code Section 13A-10-52 to require courts to sentence persons convicted of eluding or attempting to elude a law enforcement officer to a minimum of 60 days confinement.

Establishes a mandatory 48-hour temporary holding period for individuals arrested for eluding or attempting to elude a law enforcement officer, during which no bond, appearance bond, secured appearance bond, or personal recognizance order may be enforced or executed.

Maintains existing penalties for eluding violations, including driver license suspension for 6 months to 2 years, Class A misdemeanor charges, and enhanced felony classifications based on circumstances (Class C or B felony depending on injuries, death, or excessive speeding).

Provides exception that traveling at or below the speed limit with intent to stop at the nearest safe place does not constitute a violation.

Takes effect October 1, 2025.
