Increases the annual expense allowance for Montgomery County sheriffs who have served two consecutive full terms from $20,000 to $70,000, payable monthly from the county general fund.

Increases the annual salary for sheriffs with two or more consecutive full terms from $175,000 to $225,000, effective beginning the next term of office after passage.

The expense allowance is in addition to all other compensation and benefits and may be treated as compensation for retirement contributions.

The expense allowance provision becomes void at the end of the term of the sheriff serving on August 1, 2023, or upon any vacancy in the office.

The act becomes effective on the first day of the first month following its passage.
