• Clarke County Sheriff may charge reasonable fees for fingerprinting, reports, record copies, photo identification cards, funeral duties, and court-ordered ankle monitors.

• Law enforcement agencies, officers, district attorney, and grand juries are exempt from fees when requesting services for law enforcement, investigatory, or prosecutorial purposes.

• Fees collected for court-ordered ankle monitors must be deposited in the Sheriff's Fund created under Alabama Code Section 45-13-232 for law enforcement purposes in the county.

• District and circuit courts in Clarke County shall assess reasonable service of process fees for documents requiring personal service by the sheriff, with 50% deposited to the Circuit Clerk's Fund and 50% remitted to the Sheriff's Office for law enforcement purposes.

• Service of process fees may be waived if a judge finds payment would create substantial hardship and a verified statement is filed with the court clerk; the district attorney and grand jury are exempt from these fees.

• The act becomes effective October 1, 2025.
